I live, breathe, and eat songs.

If You Don’t Like It, You Can Leave (2014)

A love letter to New York city consisting of 9 originals chronicling happiness and heartbreak across the 5 boroughs. Rrecorded over 5 days at The Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck NY and produced by Steve Power (Robbie Williams, Joe Cocker) and Will Hensley.

Mr. Saturday Night (2011)

12 original songs that harken back to the golden days of AM radio, true piano pop/rock in the mold of Billy Joel and Elton John. Recorded in various studios across London throughout 2011, it was produced by Jerry Abbott and Grant Black and mixed by Steve Power.

The Planeteer (2009)

Originally intended to be Velard’s major label debut for EMI, The Planeteer was Velard’s breakthrough into the world of mainstream piano pop, containing his biggest radio hit in the US, UK and The Netherlands, Joni. Produced by Roger Greenawalt (Ben Kweller, The Pierces) and Steve Power, it was recorded in both Brooklyn and London between 2007 and 2008.

Nitetime (2003)

Self-produced debut, 10 songs recorded live in Suffern, NY in two days in August 2002. Accompanied by a stellar jazzy 5-piece, the laid back, listening vibe shows the origins of the JV sound.
